La Tanya D. Walker is an ordinary girl, with an extraordinary story of faith, perseverance, and triumph; one she shares often to motivate and empower women business owners, entrepreneurs, life coaches and counselors to live a life filled with purpose and passion. Her entrepreneurial career spans over 20 years where she has owned solely or through partnership, five successful businesses across multiple industries. Through the years, she has been afforded phenomenal opportunities that assisted thousands of aspiring entrepreneurs and high net-worth individuals start, manage, and operate successful forprofit and non-profit businesses. An accomplished business owner, La Tanya has received numerous awards and recognition for her outstanding business success, to include the Greater Houston Black Chamber of Commerce, Mack H. Hannah, Jr. Upstart Award, Pinnacle Awards and listed in "Who's Who" in Black Atlanta and Houston. Walker earned her Associates and bachelor’s degrees in interdisciplinary studies with a focus on business and religion from Liberty University, and is a candidate for graduation, earning her Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. She is also the founder of The Compassion Project™ Orlando, a 501c3 non-profit ministry that provides hope and healing to women and girls living in transitional housing in Central Florida, through ecumenical support counseling, skills development, health and wellness programs, and intimate gatherings, with an end-goal to empower them to create healthy, whole, and sustainable lives for themselves and their families.
